Hiša Stele Featured on the Dobro jutro Television Show

On Friday, 12 September, Hiša Stele had the pleasure of welcoming the team of the popular Slovenian television programme Dobro jutro. Their visit highlighted the rich cultural heritage of Kamnik and the unique experiences that visitors can enjoy at one of the town’s oldest historic houses.

During the filming, the television crew explored the historic rooms of Hiša Stele, including the Candlemaking Museum, the Black Kitchen, and the Plečnik Memorial Room. They also discovered the traditional craft workshops that allow visitors to actively engage with local heritage through candle decorating, gingerbread heart making, and bread baking in an authentic historical setting.

The programme focused on the importance of preserving cultural heritage and presenting it in a way that is engaging, interactive, and accessible to modern visitors. Through hands-on experiences and authentic stories, Hiša Stele continues to connect past and present while preserving traditions that have shaped the identity of Kamnik for more than 325 years.

We are delighted that television programmes such as Dobro jutro help bring the story of Hiša Stele and the cultural heritage of Kamnik to a wider audience.
