Workshops

Experience Slovenia’s living heritage through hands-on workshops at House Stele, where centuries-old traditions are brought to life through creativity, craftsmanship, and authentic experiences. Set within one of Kamnik’s oldest historic houses, our workshops invite visitors of all ages to discover the skills, stories, and traditions that have been preserved by the Stele family for more than 300 years.

Decorate candles inspired by the original designs of renowned architect Jože Plečnik, learn traditional beeswax candlemaking techniques, create and decorate colourful gingerbread hearts, or bake bread in a historic Black Kitchen dating back to the 14th century. Each workshop offers a unique opportunity to connect with local history while creating something with your own hands.

Whether you are visiting as an individual, a family, a group of friends, or an organised tour, our tours and workshops provide an engaging and memorable way to experience the cultural heritage of Kamnik. Guided by experienced hosts, participants gain insight into traditional crafts that have been passed down through generations and remain an important part of local identity today.

More than just workshops, these experiences offer a chance to step into the past, discover authentic Slovenian traditions, and take home a handmade souvenir created through your own skill and imagination.
